Bryce Brown
A modernist influence mixed with New Zealand culture is evident in my paintings and gives them a truly unique flavour. Aesthetics is always high on the agenda, I paint to please the eye and draw the viewer in.
"I love the vibrancy a painting can bring to a room and the stories it can tell! And I love paint, beyond the image and aesthetics there lies texture, layers, composition, dynamics! Nature offers these things and the more you observe the deeper you go… I’m always learning through observation and whether consciously, or subliminally, these observations come to life on the canvas."
