Bryce Brown
A modernist influence mixed with New Zealand culture is evident in my paintings and gives them a truly unique flavour. Aesthetics is always high on the agenda, I paint to please the eye and draw the viewer in.
I was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1971. I now live and work from my studio set on an avocado orchard in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
I have been an exhibiting artist since 1998 and have had ten solo exhibitions and many joint shows in New Zealand and in the USA.
A modernist influence mixed with New Zealand culture is evident in my paintings and gives them a truly unique flavour. Aesthetics is always high on the agenda, I paint to please the eye and draw the viewer in. As well considering symbolism, meaning and making statements, I make art that is about beauty.
My work is in private and public collections in New Zealand, Europe and the USA including the John Deere Art collection in Moline, Illinois.
