Peter Lambert
Peter has been living and working in coastal Taranaki for 40 years painting and printmaking and much of his most recent work is based on quick sketches of people in the public arena.
Born Hawera, Taranaki, Peter studied science at Canterbury University graduating in 1968 with a BSc in Mathematics.
He worked for a number of years in Television presentation and production followed by more years doing OE. He has been living and working in coastal Taranaki for 40 years painting and printmaking and much of his most recent work is based on quick sketches of people in the public arena. These are transposed into fluid line paintings that take a slightly satirical look at people in contemporary society. Parallel to this work are his plein air oil paintings of tracks in native bush and of coastal weather patterns.
